The Running Club at UW Madison offers a unique blend of exercise and fun. Runners are welcome at any level. While some members are quite good at the competitive level, most of us run for enjoyment and to stay healthy. Joining the Running Club at UW is a great way to meet other runners, learn about running, and learn more about Madison. On the running side we work out together at least once a week, organize teams for local (and occasionally) not-so-local races, and put on two running events each year. On the social side we have social gatherings approximately once a month, typically dining out.
Membership benefits include:New members may join at any time of the year. During the summer dues are not collected and anyone may participate in workouts. If you would like to join, attend a workout or breakout run and bring a filled out application form with membership dues.
For further information, send an email to the club president, whose contact information is below.

Members of this committee will organize the selling and distribution of our brand new running club apparel. Anyone interested in graphic design or clothing is more than encouraged to join up with this committee.
We try to get a newsletter out each month and are now committed to maintaining the outstanding web page. The committee gets together for short, informal meetings about every three weeks.
This committee decides which road races the club will be doing. We usually have one race per month. The members will get entry forms, entry fees, and send them in to the races.
We have great numbers in the club right now, and our goal is to keep every member we have and to acquire a few more. There is a ton of potential in this committee. Planning socials and dinners, contacting other running clubs, and coming up with creative recruiting techniques are all possibilities. Have more fun, join this committee.
