The course is flat and fast and nearly a loop, visiting locations on
the western part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. The
race starts by the Lakeshore dorms at the end of Elm St. and near
Lakeshore Path. The course heads west from the start along the
Lakeshore Path. At the entrance to Picnic Point (approximately one mile
mark), the course turns southwest following the Lakeshore Path past the
entrances to UW's Eagle Heights and University Houses. Past the
entrance to University Houses, the course joins Wellesley Road and
heads south. The course turns left onto a paved sidewalk, then
turns left again upon reaching Lot 60. After compelting the loop,
the course turns
right, back onto Lakeshore Path. The course ends just past the
Natatorium, where water and other refreshments will be available inside.
